We headed to the Indianapolis Zoo on Good Friday, hoping to enjoy the sunny but cooler temps. It turned out to be a beautiful morning to be at the zoo, as the animals were mostly out and about and we seemed to beat the bigger crowds that came mid-day.

Mr. Walrus, swimming along the bottom of his pool. He made many laps across the length of his pool, in sight the whole time...until he happened to swim out of sight and pop right up in front of Eyla with no warning (see 2 pictures below)! She jumped back (she was right up against the glass) and literally cried in fear! Eventually she calmed down, but it was a pretty frightening, and she talked about it a couple times through the day!

Bailey watching the walrus...you can see Eyla's current position to the left, preparing to be scared out of her wits in the next picture!

This Brown Bear was pacing in front of us, separated by a waist-high fence, and a deep drop off. He would pause at this corner of the cage, and do a little lean/lunge, as if to say, "I could make that jump, if I wanted to!"

All the wild, unusual animals to be seen, and these two get very excited to chase down two ducks!
